Sukiyaki

Broth

1 cup Mentuyu (Japanese noodle soup base)
2 cup Water
1/2 Cup Shoyu
1/2 Cup Sake
1/2 Cup Mirin
1/4 Cup Sugar

Ingredients:

2 cups thin sliced Beef, Chicken, Pork, or Seafood
2 cups Napa Cabbage (chopped)
10 medium to large whole Shitake Mushrooms
1 package Tofu (cubed)
1 package Shirataki Noodles
1 cup sliced Chikuwa (Japanese fish cake)
2 package Udon fresh or frozen (*see note below)


Directions:

Make Broth in a pot and bring to a boil, add all other ingredients and cover. Let it simmer about 10 minutes, serve over or on the side of Rice, or add Udon.

**SUKIYAKI is Very easy, you need only one pot, and really good for cold winter family get together dinner!!

Traditional Sukiyaki is served over rice without Udon noodles.

* Save the broth - Add Udon noodles to the broth. Allow Udon to simmer on a low to medium heat in the broth 7 - 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
